AZERBAIJAN

Hey Kim, your view of the Caspian Sea from Gobustan is a bit barren, but these ancient petroglyphs of animals, warriors, bullfights, and ritual dances were drawn around ten-thousand BC!

My favorite was the “graffiti” nearby—carved by a Roman soldier in the year eighty-five AD—the world’s easternmost evidence of the Roman empire. Tres cool, Sis!
