It was an awesome hike to get Kim’s View of Sophia from Vitosha Mountain.
Sophia’s museum of socialist propaganda is an eerie graveyard for communist “hero” statues. But most impressive was Plovdiv—”Europe’s oldest city”—with six-thousand-year-old Thracian ruins, and Roman amphitheaters.
