Samoa is one of my favorite countries, Sis. Fa’a Samoa—the Samoan way—means service to your family, respect for elders, and the church are paramount. The Samoan Cultural Village in Apia was very touristic, but I loved their show. I learned so much about Samoan culture, and their ‘gentle giants.’ Samoan men are among the toughest on the planet. They kick ass at football (not fútbol) but they grow up doing chores and working hard around the house. Robert Louis Stevenson loved Samoa, too, Kim. I got soaked getting Kim’s View at his gravesite on top of Mt. Vaea.
