SWAZILAND

My first taste of African wildlife came in Swaziland, Kim, officially the Kingdom of Eswatini now. Eswatini is Africa’s smallest country, and one of the world’s last remaining absolute monarchies. King Sobhuza II supposedly had over six hundred children. Wow! Kim’s View at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary—Mlilwane means ‘little fire’ in siSwati, named after the frequent fires from lightning strikes—is near Poacher’s Point, among herds of zebra, wildebeest, and antelope. Pretty cool environment, Sis!
